Tér és imádság: Az imádság helyei az ezredfordulón a zsidó, keresztény és iszlám vallásban címmel ma nyílt meg a Pannonhalmi Főapátság 2007-es időszakos kiállítása, mely
arra a kérdésre keresi a választ, hogy milyen viszonyban áll az európai kortárs építészet a zsidó, keresztény és iszlám vallás hitgyakorlatának mai igényeivel.
Mindennek bemutatására a rendezők három olyan épületet választottak az ezredforduló Európájából, amely az adott vallások egy-egy helyi közösségének megbízásából készült: egy zsinagógát Németországból, egy keresztény szerzetesi templomot Csehországból és egy mecsetet Boszniából.
Az építészek pedig mindhárom esetben a kortárs építészet élvonalából valók: Wandel Hoefer Lorch+Hirsch (zsinagóga), John Pawson (szerzetesi templom) és Zlatko Ugljen (mecset).
A fényképeket, tervrajzokat, a történeti és funkcionális áttekintéseket és a (szakértők bevonásával készített) teológiai reflexiókat az imádkozó közösségek hangjai is kiegészítik.

Pawsonnal kapcsolatban egy minapi bejegyzést kiegészítve említem, hogy van néhány gyönyörű képe a csehországi ciszter templom terveihez készült makettjéről.
Március 21-én Szent Benedek ünnepe a bencés rend körében mindenkor felülírta a tanácsköztársaság 1989 előtt államilag kötelező emléknapját. Pannonhalma volt az ország kevés helyeinek egyike, ahol nem kellett a proletárdiktatúrával foglalkozni.
